Q: How do you see the role of Technology at PDT Studio in 2020?
In the first instance, I see technology bringing our teams together. Removing wasted time so we can focus on the client and good design. Secondly, technology can help us to optimize designs, test design options and engage the client in the space during design stages.
Virtual and Augmented reality can assist the client and users to engage in the design space prior to construction.
Q: What has been one of your most rewarding projects and why?
I like PDT’s focus on projects that add value to the community. Aged Care, Health and Education are all pivotal to well-functioning communities. When these are designed with the end user in mind the spaces become hubs for enjoyment.
Q: What’s the best thing about working at PDT?
The community. There is a really nice culture where staff focus on each other and the clients.
Q: What keeps you busy away from work?
I have four kids who keep me on my toes. I’m an assistant coach in a triathlon club and am back in training for Ironman after doing my first last May.
