About the Project

The recently refurbished Caloundra Health Services is a comforting & welcoming environment that’s rich in community values and cultural wellbeing. The fitout is unlike a typical clinical hospital with its homely Palliative Care patient rooms and connections to nature through a major central courtyard. It has been transformed into a reputable, primary care facility for the local Sunshine Coast Community & we’re super excited to watch it thrive.

Caloundra Hospital was re-purposed as a Community Health and Palliative Care facility following the opening of the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The majority of the existing hospital was vacated and PDT has refurbished and upgraded the existing buildings to incorporate a bespoke Palliative Care Unit increasing the existing beds. The Community Health includes a Minor Injuries Clinic, Child Development and Health Clinic, Respite Unit and Outpatient facility.
