About the Project

The vision for this project was to create a contemporary workplace to encourage staff flexibility, transparency and efficiency.

The purpose of this commercial fit-out was to combine and relocate multiple government offices to one central three-floor workspace.  Inspired by the office’s Ipswich location, the PDT design team adopted an ‘urban outback’ design theme fusing earthy tones and natural materials with organic shapes.

PDT has done wonderful work and the Department of Education and Training offices in Ipswich is another example. Congratulations on the completion of this wonderful project. I look forward to seeing your considerable talents transforming our public spaces for many years to come

Pushing the parameters of traditional government office spaces, the fit out provides an inviting office environment that promotes movement, interaction and team collaboration through open plan working, informal meeting spaces and social lunch areas The space planning of the office levels takes advantage of  aspects of the surrounding environment, maximizing natural light penetration and external vistas for staff.
