Outcome

The design brief called for a building that delivered world class sporting and community facilities suitable not just for local residents but also for hosting events that would attract interstate and overseas visitors to the region.

PDT designed and documented Logan Metro Indoor Sports Centre to an international standard meeting the standards required by FIBA, the governing body for basketball and the requirements of ABC, national broadcasters of WNBL games.

The centre incorporates three indoor sports courts with retractable seating for 2,000 spectators along with treatment and consultation rooms for sports health professionals, and community facilities.

PDT worked with Logan city council to continue their commitment to environmentally sustainable design,  through the Landscape Architecture and building design which considers the site position and incorporates features such as auto shutoff lighting saving on running and maintenance costs.
