About the Project

Mater Springfield Private Hospital has been designed to help provide patients with exceptional acute and subacute treatment and care, while also promoting wellness to a rapidly growing region. 

This is the mustard seed that will germinate and grow into Australia's premier health precinct.

Mater Health Services contracted PDT Architects (in association with STH) to design a hospital to meet the growing healthcare needs of the greater Springfield community.

Mater Health Services have a master plan for the hospital precinct within Health City Springfield Central which includes a number of expansion stages to be rolled out to meet the demands of the region.

Stage One, an 80-bed $85 million 10,000m2 hospital provides a range of medical and surgical services including four operating theatres, inpatient wards, a day surgery unit and medical imaging services cancer care centre and a landscaped sensory garden.
