About the Project

The Design and construction of 350 preparatory schools over a 2.5 year period  demonstrated exceptional time management ,risk management and organizational and communication skills.

The PDT team worked together with the client to  establish a plan for dealing with the enormous task of working simultaneously with more than 300 schools.   A mini bus organised by Lend Lease took the Architect, Structural Engineer, Builder and Sub Contractors to 4 schools a day where the team would effectively design the building and confirm the interiors and landscape with the school. This collaborative approach made this an incredibly successful project for all parties involved.

The Prep School Project was an amazing experience. Highly challenging and highly rewarding. To be able to work with like-minded builders, engineers and subcontractors who valued referring to people’s ideas and skills in making this project work was what made it successful. When I catch up with the guys involved we still talk about how much we enjoyed it and how much we would like to do it again

Today the resultant schools provide modern and functional classrooms with amenities and storage which work well for both the teachers and children.  High ceilings, multipurpose spaces, louvred windows, relaxing aesthetics and verandas [allowing for cross ventilation], provide the intiuative spaces for teaching and learning.
