About the Project

PDT designed an exciting teaching and research environment to provide students with the opportunity to treat real patients in a world class clinical training environment.

PDT created podiatry and optometry clinics for QUT combining a real clinical practice with a teaching environment.  A relaxed centralised waiting area greets patients on arrival, while clinic and “shop“  areas have used bright contemporary design.

The Health clinics support QUT’s ambition to “aim to provide quality clinical education to the
next generation of health care professionals and quality patient care to the community”.

In order to provide a comfortable and authentic experience for patients, PDT created a central meet and greet zone with relaxed seating and intimate lighting which conveys a serene and calming atmosphere and sense of familiarity between disciplines.

Abstract graphics and a contemporary colour pallet create a modern clinic/shop space deliberately complementing the surrounding precinct.
