About the Project

Set on the former St Columban’s College site just 6kms from the Brisbane CBD, this village is a hidden gem.

PDT designed, documented and delivered the landscape for “The Molloy” which is the first new building addition in more than 8 years at Aveo Clayfield's Seniors Living Village.

The design was developed to maintain a park like feel, with a large open central lawn and featuring timber pergolas and seating nodes strategically located for residents to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.

A new pedestrian circulation route has linked seamlessly into the existing stages, so that residents can complete an entire loop around the village without any dead ends.

The planting palette consisted of a variety of flowering trees, shrubs and groundcovers with varying colours, textures and forms for the residents to enjoy that blend seamlessly with the rest of the village.

“Our Clayfield Village is unique in the fact that it has 3 beautifully restored heritage buildings set amongst the new apartment buildings. PDT’s landscape design set the perfect base to integrate these together. Their commitment to the project and knowledge has been exceptional. Their design was sensitive to the resident’s needs and has set the standard for future developments”
