About the Project

A specialist ageing-in-place facility, designed to accommodate everyday living and care needs for up to 94 residents

The design of this latest Regis facility has been created to enable residents to “live well” making the most of its seaside position to offer indoor and outdoor living.

I have found the new 58 bed extension at Wynnum to be state of the art and extremely appropriate for aged care
Fiona Kirk Facility Manager, Regis Wynnum

PDT met the brief to provide a contemporary, inviting and progressive new facility and refurbish the existing building to reflect the new design.   After chairing a series of user group meetings to establish the expectations of Regis group, PDT designed communal areas with provision for breakout to external areas including raised vegetable garden beds for resident participation, walking paths and seating areas.  Additional services were also added helping to create a premium residence.  These included Day Spas, Treatment Rooms, Hydrotherapy Baths, Hairdressers, Private Dining Areas, Cinema Rooms, Libraries and a Café.  PDT undertook careful planning to reduce the travel distances for nurses and administration staff, creating operational efficiencies.
