The Ferny Grove State High School Auditorium and Learning Centre is located on the north-east corner of the school on the site of the former tennis and basketball courts. As part of an early works package, the tennis and basketball courts were rebuilt adjacent to the existing sports oval.

The project consisted of the 350-seat auditorium for the use of all school departments and staff and community groups, along with 8 multi-functional general learning spaces for the school’s orchestra and band ensembles.

The buildings are constructed of low maintenance materials such as concrete wall panels, split and plain coloured blockwork and colorbond corrugated wall and roof sheeting. The overall colour palette consisted of neutral tones, with certain accent colours and materials on highlighted elements to create visual interest.
